WW - Day 33
Today I rode my bike to and from work. Holy smokes. It's not like a REAL biker, or even someone who is a recreational rider would have trouble with this 4-mile round-trip, but it beat the crap out of me. I am getting a lot of exercise these days but that was an excellent reminder that I am still a long way from being fit. Maybe I'll ride again on Friday... depending on the humidity, etc. I'm a bit of a weenie with the humidity.
Tonight I tried on lots of clothes to see where I was at. Turns out I can fit into a few things I couldn't earlier. I also found some clothes that I would like to see myself wearing by summer's end. Or maybe my birthday. There are 2 or 3 things that will truly be exciting to wear again. Milestones are good.
And strangely, there are several articles of clothing with tags still on them that I bought at some point (can't remember when) and never wore, presumably because I thought I'd eventually lose some weight and fit into these things. If I had known just how long it would be before I DID fit into them (and I still don't, by the way) I might have made better use of my money. (Nah. I've never made good use of my money. That will have to be explored in a different blog.)
FOOD: Lots of good stuff. Lots of water. God, I just love water and it's seemingly magical effects. I can feel when it's been awhile since my last glass.
MOOD: Pretty good, especially when trying some stuff on this evening. There is one linen dress I am just about ready to wear -- maybe a couple weeks from now. But it is VERY CLEAR that I will need to incorporate some abdominal routines moving forward. My tummy is really poochin. Also, I have these hip rolls on the sides (these could be considered part of some mammoth muffin-top, I suppose... although muffins are sort of cute and this stuff is more like bride of the Sta-Puffed Marshmallow Man). Gotta figure out how to get rid of all that. My whole mid-section is your basic train wreck.
But I'm really feeling stronger and I'm somehow more conscious of my whole self when I'm moving and when I'm at rest, if that makes any sense whatsoever. I have a sort of energy right now.
