WW - Day 28 - Sweet Success!
After a crazy week with a certain amount of cheating (well, not cheating but you know...) I got on the WW scale this morning and found I'd lost 4 POUNDS! Woo Hoooooooo!!!
I'm trying to figure it out and this is the best I can come up with:
1. I drank enormous quantities of water this week. So any sodium I was consuming was washed away.
2. I am walking and doing the upper bod stuff. This is exercising my heart, good for circulation, and also ultimately changes how my body burns fat when it is at rest.
3. My diet had some curve balls thrown in, so maybe I confused it! Does that make any sense at all?
FOOD: Yesterday being the 4th of July, I was a bit tentative of how much stuff I might consume, but created some options that were much better for me. Rob made ribs (yum!) and a coleslaw -- and although we've tried making this coleslaw with low fat Hellman's it just isn't as good. So I passed on the slaw. (Good Girl!). Instead I made a potato salad that absolutely ROCKED. It had NO FAT. I tasted it before adding mayo or oil and, guess what? None needed. I figured it is a 1 point 1 cup serving. We also made the bean salad again, without oil. This does need some oil, I think. But not much. Then Rob also made guacamole which is without oil, but the avocados do count. Instead of chips I dipped blanched fresh local green beans in and oh my goodness, was THAT good! Between these things and avoiding beer and dessert, I think I planned my 24 hours ahead of weigh-in just right.
MOOD: I'm on top of the world! I'm at 13.8 pounds and going strong!
