WW - Day 14 - Two weeks in the bucket

So far I've lost 8.8 pounds. This is good. I know I need to truly convince myself that slow and steady is truly healthy and better for me overall. I will learn more in the process.

Working out some smaller milestones at 2 pounds per week:
- Next Saturday (June 28) I could make 10 pounds.
- On July 19, I could pass 15 pounds.
- On August 2, I could pass 20 pounds.
- On August 30, I could get to my 10% award! (And I'll have to re-up my membership that Saturday...)

And looking down the road, if I lose 2 pounds per week, I could be looking at a loss of over 40 pounds by October 17, which is my 44th birthday.

That would be 40 pounds in 19 weeks.

Adele, that is a lot! Week by week it seems like a small little bit, but when you add it all up, it's a significant amount!

FOOD: We had an awesome salad for dinner last night, with greens, scallions, garbanzo beans, fresh uncooked corn, and cold chicken thighs. I made a dressing of cider vinegar, poupon, salt/pepper, and olive oil. Amazingly yummy and fresh. Rob has been making me terrific veggie sandwiches on lavash for lunch. Yummy yummy. And those WW fudgesicle bars are just terrific treats for only 1 point.

MOOD: Well, I have to admit I was a little bummed about 2 pounds this morning. But now that I've done the math and made some mini-milestones, I have my chin up and I'm ready to tackle those goals. I am exercising every day, and my Thursday evening workouts are downright brutal (my arms still ache and it's Saturday morning). I think I'll try to add my Nia disk to the mix one day a week -- I could even bring it along to work and do it on Monday or Tuesday at lunchtime in Calkins or something. I also want to balance my Thursday evenings with another evening of upper body strength training with hand-weights -- maybe on Saturday or Sunday.

Hmmm... I'm feeling a focus now that I didn't have a few minutes ago when I sat down to write. Maybe this journalling has a bigger purpose than blowing off steam.

Ten pound mark by next Saturday morning.
Time to take a walk!
Go go go go GO!
