September 2006 South Beaching It
food-mood journal
Thoughts on South Beach. I have been doing this diet since Sept. 5 and while I don't own a scale (or even plan to) I think am doing very well! I have noticed that things fit me differently these days. Now I haven't dropped a complete size yet, but I'm on the fringe of that. I am actually wearing an assortment of three different sizes so it is hard to tell. I guess I can only say that the smaller of the three didn't really fit at all a month back.
I have to admit I like the system of this diet and others like it. I hate measuring things or worse, WEIGHING things. If you just give me a list of stuff I can eat and tell me to eat until I'm not hungry, we're going to get along just fine. Clock watching isn't for me. Creating exactly x amount of servings is not for me. So, I'm doing okay. And even though I know I can now add in certain other foods that were illegal during the first two "induction" weeks, I am not compelled to do so on a constant basis. I am really kind of happy with what I was able to eat before. The new stuff is more of a treat.
Am hoping to go to my 25th HS Reunion looking and feeling fabulous. That could be in six months, or even more like a year -- but it will be sometime in 2007.
Ahead of that I'll see my mom in early November. Let's hope there are some noticable differences by the time that weekend rolls around. I'd like my wearable three sizes to include the next size down. That would be great.
For my birthday I'd like to put away all the clothes that are the biggest size I am wearing now.
