Day 3 - sunrise
FOOD - Last night we had pizza and greek salad from Hello Faz Pizza on Liberty. We do this on Friday nights, 1. because it is easy and yummy, and 2. because Faz is unfortunately dying and we are trying to support him and his family. You may have seen Jo Mathis' column in the AA News about him this past week. He's a wonderful man who has worked hard to build his business and take care of his family, he has done lovely things for us as we became acquainted with the neighborhood. Following supper, we had a family movie ("Agent Cody Banks") and I'm happy to report that I did not have a single treat post-supper. This morning, a big bowl of Total Honey Clusters, which I had never seen before but thought I'd try when I was at the grocery on Thursday evening. Very good, and good for you!
MOOD - I woke up early because I was under the impression that Griffin had a 7am hockey game. These mornings aren't easy, but we do it in shifts as Griffin needs to be at the rink a half-hour earlier, ready to go (Rob takes him), and I follow with Lucie closer to game time. I have a mother's guilt about missing games, but don't feel the same way at all about practices. So, after ousting myself from the warm cocoon of bed, chowing down cereal and a cup of coffee, and making the bed, imagine my surprise and delight (mixed with just a little bit of dismay) that today is a PRACTICE not a game. I'm still in my jammies, so my entire comfy morning isn't ruined. I can't bring myself to climb back into an already made bed...but I'll happily do that at naptime later today.
